Understanding Your Final Settlement Results

Your final settlement consists of multiple components under Saudi Labor Law. Unpaid salary covers any days you worked but were not paid for. Under Article 76, unused vacation days must be compensated at your full daily rate: (total monthly salary / 30) for each unused day. Your EOSB (if entered) completes the total. The daily rate is calculated by dividing your total monthly salary by 30 days. Each component is then calculated by multiplying this daily rate by the number of days owed.

How is final settlement calculated in Saudi Arabia?
Unpaid salary = (salary / 30) x days. Unused vacation = (salary / 30) x leave days.
How is unused vacation pay calculated under Article 76?
Under Article 76 of the Saudi Labor Law, unused vacation days are paid at your full daily rate. The formula is: (total monthly salary / 30) x number of unused leave days. For example, with 15,000 SAR salary and 15 unused days: (15,000 / 30) x 15 = 7,500 SAR.
Do I get final settlement if I resign in Saudi Arabia?
Yes. EOSB is also payable but may be reduced under Article 85 if you resign with less than 10 years of service.
Can my employer refuse to pay my final settlement?
No. Withholding final settlement is a violation of Saudi Labor Law. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) can penalize employers who delay or refuse payment. File a complaint through the Qiwa or Wazeef platforms if your employer does not pay.
